A national media outlet has zoomed in on a small village in rural Suffolk as it names the best destinations for a July holiday.
In a list of six of the best holidays to book for the summer months, The Independent listed typically thought of destinations such as India, Italy and Turkey but also listed a best-kept secret of Suffolk - Yoxford.
Yoxford lies between Southwold and Aldeburgh, a bit further inland, and is known for its antique shops and setting for a Benjamin Britten opera.
Listed with the Suffolk gem are destination trips to Islay in Scotland, Ostuni in Italy, Delhi and Mumbai in India, and Izmir in Turkey.

The Independent's advice when picking Suffolk as your destination is to "Hole up in the pretty Suffolk village of Yoxford... there's a pub within staggering distance and the nearest beach is six miles away."
Notably mentioned is the Coach House Cottage, available in early July for five nights for that perfect Suffolk escape.
