A brilliant unbeaten century from Chinelle Henry guided defending champions Jamaica women to a crushing 62 run win over Barbados in the CWI T20 Blaze on Wednesday at Arnos Vale in St Vincent. Electing to bat, the Jamaicans posted 149-5 from their 20 overs. Only two batters made double figures.
Henry blasted an even 100 from just 49 balls, inclusive of 8 sixes and 6 fours. Captain Rashada Williams was next best at the top of the order with 25. Shamilia Connell took 3-14 for Barbados.
In reply, the Jamaicans used seven bowlers to restrict their counterparts to just 87-4 from their allotted 20 overs.
Neisha Ann Waisome was the pick of the bowlers with 2-10 from 3 overs. Naijanni Cumberbatch 35 and Asabi Callender 30, scored most runs for Barbados. The Jamaicans will next be in action on Friday against Guyana.
